It’s the most wonderful time of the year for Timothy Simons … because the holidays mean it’s time to get together with the family and talk about the incestuous coffee ad he infamously worked on.
We caught up with Timothy at LAX and our photo asked him about the Folgers Christmas ad from 2009, colloquially known as the Folgers Incest Ad.
Timothy tells us he directed some of the auditions for the commercial, in which a brother and sister are super flirts when he comes home for Christmas.
A lot of people get the feeling that the brother and sister in the commercial want to hit it off… and Timothy tells us he understands why that’s the best for most people, even if the cast and crew didn’t have that vibe in plateau.
Timothy says he got the gig when he was just getting his feet wet in Hollywood … long before he starred in “Veep” and “Don’t Worry Darling.”
The Folgers incest ad has sparked oral histories and even has its own Wikipedia page , and Timothy says people always bring it up to him when December rolls around … and tells us his thoughts on whether it’s worth a repeat.
